Judy W Kelley Scholarship

We are excited to once again be offering two (2) of our Judy W Kelley Scholarships for $1,000 to graduating seniors of the Class of 2019.  

Scholarship Scope:
To be considered, applicants must be high school seniors planning to attend an accredited four-year college or university, community or junior college, or state licensed trade or technical school. 

Eligibility:
All graduating seniors regardless of race, religion or sex are eligible for consideration upon submission of an application. All applicants must either be a member of MOBILITY Credit Union with account(s) in good standing or have parents/legal guardians who are members of MOBILITY Credit Union with account(s) in good standing. 

Award:
Scholarship payment of $1,000 will be made payable to the school and presented to the student to use toward college expenses. 

Award Criteria:
Selection will be based on several factors, including: character, community service, scholastic record, financial need and recommendations. 

Application Procedure:

  1. Complete and submit a scholarship application 
    • Provide a letter of recommendation from a school representative
    • Provide a letter of recommendation from a member of a community organization
    • Due by May 10, 2019
  2. The scholarship selection committee will review the submitted applications and select applicants for interviewing.  Students selected will be notified by phone or email with an appointment date and time. 
  3. Applicant interview process will begin.
  4. Selection committee selects recipients and an alternate.
  5. Recipients will be notified by May 31, 2019.
  6. Scholarship recipients MUST submit their selected university and office of financial aid mailing addresses to MOBILITY Credit Union by June 21, 2019 to receive their funds.

Individuals that do not meet the following criteria will not be considered: if the application is not typed or completed in black ink, if the application does not include a letter of recommendation from a school representative, if the application does not include a letter of recommendation from a member of a community organization and if the application is not received/postmarked on or before May 10, 2019.
